Another Weekly Bloggy Thingymabob

September 5-8

Matthew and Alize choosing a song
This week was really hectic because of flag football. On Tuesday, I scored the classes. A repeated theme throughout flag football for me was wanting to sit down and never want to stand up again afterward. On Wednesday, I was a greeter and greeted my math teacher's homeroom. On Thursday, I was the picture taker, And I took pictures of the game. At the end of the 7th grade game, Emma Pulled me over to the classes and told me to take pictures of them shaking hands. I got Into my position to the side of the classes, but Emma pulled me straight in between the two classes! I walked like a meter out as to not get in their way, but Emma pushed me back in and told me again to take pictures of the classes shaking hands. I got my camera focused and she said, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING THERES NOTHING TO TAKE A PICTURE OF YET!" It's like I couldn't take a picture from outside. I KNOW WHAT TO DO! DON'T FORCE ME DO DO SOMETHING YOUR WAY! IF I NEED HELP, ILL ASK SOMEONE! On Friday, I was a greeter, but the seventh grade classes didn't show up. Eighth grade did and it was pretty normal. In music, Kayley, Mikka, and Alannah started randomly coming into A102 and playing around. I don't even know if they're supposed to be there, but they distracted all of us. We didn't do anything special in math, english, or social studies, but we did this cool paper airplane experiment in science. It was to see what kind of airplane goes the farthest. We got to name them and everything. The winner was named Brittney Spears, which is so random that it's funny. On Friday, the rest of my class was being chatty, and we had to stay in after school in science. In band, we finished learning about the band instruments, and we will get our instruments soon! We didn't get to discussing our vision and mission reflections on Friday, so all we did in leadership was get set up for flag football.

A highlight of the week was doing the paper airplane science experiment. I liked it because it was different and not boring. Another highlight was being a greeter/scorer for some of my classes, like math. A lowlight for the week was when Emma dragged me over to the classes that were about to shake hands. She was making me take pictures her way, and I hated it. Another lowlight is staying after school because my classmates in science wouldn't stop talking. This was a problem in third grade, fourth grade, fifth grade, sixth grade, and apparently seventh grade, too. I don't disrupt the class, but I somehow have gotten in chatty classes for the past four years! My math teacher also says my math class talks a lot. Furthermore, my social studies class is literally a zoo. I guess another lowlight of the week is how much time is wasted on frivolous conversations by my classmates.
My Lucky Dime

I learned that everyone talks too much. I also learned that flag football gets really boring. Furthermore, I learned that I don't like taking pictures for flag football.

My binder pet is my lucky dime. It's a running joke where I pick up a random coin, usually a penny, and say it's my lucky dime. It started when  found an unusually shiny dime on the open house day and declared it my lucky dime. I then proceeded to lose it. I found a penny and called that my lucky dime. I later found it on my clothes dryer, of all places. I drew a mustache on it, as I'm never going to spend it, and made it my binder pet.
